Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-07-31
These terms cover your use of Loopcam — this site and the API at loopcam.lol/api. Loopcam is a personal project, currently in development and pre-launch. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
The service
Loopcam lets you shoot short looping videos and share them with other users. Because the project is pre-launch and run by one person, the service may change, be interrupted, or shut down at any time, and no availability is promised. Keep your own copies of loops you care about.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password and signed-in devices secure. You can revoke individual device sessions by signing out on that device. Accounts that violate these terms can be suspended.
Your content
You own the loops, comments, and other content you create. So the service can function, you grant Loopcam permission to store your content, transcode uploaded video into the formats the apps play, and show it to other users according to your settings: public loops are visible to others, loops you mark private are shown only to you. You must have the rights to anything you upload.
Acceptable use
- No content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- No harassment, threats, or hateful conduct toward other users.
- No sexual content involving minors, and no content sexualizing anyone without consent.
- No malware, and no attempts to break authentication, scrape the service, or evade rate limits.
- No impersonating other people or misrepresenting who you are.
Moderation
Users can report loops, comments, and users, and can block users. Loopcam can remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms. There is no obligation to monitor everything, but there is a right to act on what is reported or noticed.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time — see Data deletion — which removes your content and data. Loopcam can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Disclaimers
The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, and Loopcam’s liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Changes and contact
These terms will change as the project develops; the date at the top reflects the latest revision. Questions go to me@torrauden.com.
Loopcam is a personal project and is currently pre-launch. This page is written to describe the system accurately, but it is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It should be, before any public launch.
